Interesting. You can also turn off the gas engine and run exclusively off batteries. More of a hybrid than an EV but feature-wise it has capabilities a lot of truck owners want.Stellantis might be onto something
The All-New Ram 1500 REV delivers innovative performance with a liquid-cooled 92-kilowatt-hour battery pack paired with a 130-kilowatt generator. The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine generates mechanical power, which is converted to electrical power by the onboard generator for maximum efficiency. The generator can also increase the power to the motor and gearbox when serious power is needed.
690 miles claimed range.

Something with lots of power, good range and all that.
Only issue is it's a Stellantis/Fiat.
Fix it again Tony.
You could even nix the batteries.
Likely be an $80,000 Fiat.
Prolly get away with a little 4 banger instead of the 3.6l penta junk.
If all them assholes made a performance truck like this right off the getgo instead of an economy kunt car people would have accepted them.
Pretty much all trucks now. None of them are cheap. Especially the GM Pickups and SUVs whose gas burning engine cant make it past 15k miles without seizing up. Requiring total replacement. The GM 6.2L V8 engine has been linked to a serious defect that can cause sudden and catastrophic engine failure, affecting numerous models from 2021 to 2024. Some owners have reported it takes weeks to get the new engine.Yeah... and the price tag for it is $60k - $100k (depending on trim level / options)!! For a fucking truck. That's insane.
Back when I was in high school / college... guys got trucks because they were cheaper than cars. And they came with virtually no amenities or options.
Now "trucks" are luxury vehicles! LOL! People are so gullible now.
But the truck manufacturers are BRILLIANT! They've convinced the public that truck are a luxury status symbol now! LOL! Did I say "gullible?" I meant idiots.

The Ford Ranchero is coming back as an EV. The legendary cowboy Cadillac returns. It's rumored to start at $30k.
Nobody wants EVs. That's why every car maker on the planet is trying to figure out how to make them dependable and affordable before Chinese cars are allowed to be sold in the US market. Because nobody wants EVs. The CEOs of Toyota, BMW, VW, Honda, Ford, et all are all saying their respective companies are fucked if they don't reinvent themselves. But what do they know. Cuz nobody wants EVs. Especially this guy

Delivery van type vehicles are a natural for EV. Pickup trucks... especially work trucks... not so much. There isn't a good one yet. Ford dropped the ball on the F150 Lightning. That's why EVs are stacking up in inventory... 'cuz they're not selling out. Yes... SOME people want them. But MANY auto manufacturers are GREATLY scaling BACK their EV plans... accordingly. There will be a market for them... and for ICE cars, as well... for MANY generations to come.
But how much of a market is there for $100,000 hybrid or EV trucks?? I dare say it's limited.

Teslas are not stacking up on dealer lots. They dont have dealers. Musk sold 51,000 cars in Q1 2026. The junk US carmakers cranked out and some Euro marques as well are sitting on lots because they suck. Now... Tesla sales aren't what they were in 2025, but that isn't because suddenly nobody wants EVs. All car sales are in the tank. Toyota and Hyundai are starting to get some traction with EVs. Tesla is nipping at the heels of the best selling cars in America. Most of the top ten best selling vehicles in the USA are pickups. Ford F-series wins the top slot by a wide margin.
No dealers. Tesla sales offices. Sales being not really sales. More like showroom. The people working there are Tesla employees. You buy their cars either on the web or in their app. It's a showroom that has demo cars. There's no sales people or price negotiation. It is actually illegal for a carmaker to not sell a car thru a franchised car dealer (third party) in most states. It's a total fucking racket. Tesla has worked around that legal requirement. No sales people. No dealers. The manufacturer sells direct to the buyer. No agents or middlemen. There is absolutely a Tesla dealer right here in my city. I drive by it every single day.

Not legally or procedurally the same as a dealer. No similarity other than there's a building and a sign.People go there to buy a Tesla. And it's much bigger than a "office." It's a building. Looks like a showroom from the road. That's a dealer in my book. I've not been there myself... no reason to go there. But I have seen it on my daily commutes. Big "Tesla" sign. Looks like a car dealer to me. If I was going to buy a Tesla (fat chance), that's exactly where I would go... to the dealer that I drive by every day. That there is no negotiation has no bearing on the fact that they sell Tesla cars.

If you decide to buy a Tesla, you order and pay for it yourself. At home, on the app, or in the showroom. The staff tell you what the different models feature. That's it. No commission, no price negotiation, no scam pitch from the finance guy who is really just another sales wonk.
You can call it whatever you want but they do not "sell" cars at Tesla showrooms. That would be illegal in most states. California and Florida do allow auto manufacturers to sell to consumers if they don't have franchised dealers in those states. Tesla's sales model remains the same everywhere. No dealers. Figuratively or literally. Dealer has a very specific legal definition. As does a sales transaction involving a dealer and what a sellers role is.
On the other hand, Ford or GM cannot sell direct to consumers in Florida or California because they are bound by law to not compete with franchised dealers in those states.
The Tesla buying experience is completely different than buying a car anywhere else. Except Rivian or other EV maker who also have no dealers.
Last one I drove by had Cyber Trucks on every square inch of the property stacked almost like firewood.
