Are you kidding me? Whereever humans are, greed and corruption are. And the Socialists simply like to take YOUR money, distribute it as they see fit to the peasants/peons, while they themselves still live high on the hog (not unlike more overtly militant communism) and a life of privilege in their upper crust circle.. It's a type of caste system. Another version of serfs and peasants.

The point was simple. A Keynesian free market is incompatible with socialism. Capitalism is a competition. In its purest form there are only winners and losers. The winners congregate and the losers organize. Then each fights for the biggest slice of the pie.

The US is capitalist with some socialism. Europe is socialist with some capitalism.

Maybe greed is too strong a word. Let’s call it ambition. The average European has no appetite for entrepreneurship. It’s cultural.

I had one of those when I was in H.S. That third toggle switch was F/F. A neat feature most 8-Tracks didn't have so you didn't have to suffer through the shitty songs to get to the good ones.
Had the gas pedal too.
