News says it was a "brief and sudden illness". No details so far.

Anyone know the whereabouts of Hillary the last couple days? :unsure:

In politics, it's not the years, it's the mileage. Look at Nancy, Maxine, and Rosa DeLauro.

Never would have guessed he would croak before Mitch...assuming Mitch hasn't assumed room temperature already.

I guess they can't play the "Weekend at" twice. Just leave the press to fixate on COD.

Now it remains to be seen who McMaster will replace him with.

His aortic artery ruptured. Kind of like when a pipe splits open/bursts. He was dead pretty quick. There is no boogieman. It happens to 70+ year olds. When you cross over 50, get used to the idea that you have a time bomb in your chest. You just dont know what the timer is set for.

His father died from a heart attack at 69 years old. Genetics can be a real bitch!

Exactly. You can mitigate some of that by not smoking, not drinking to excess, eating healthy and not being fat. But you cant change your DNA.

While I do agree genetics has a lot to do with mortality rate within families, some times it skips a generation or two. My paternal grandfather died at 62 and my father at 57, both from heart disease. My doctor says my heart and lungs both sound good but I am under medication. Not saying my ticker wont give out in the next few years but I have outlived both of them. I will turn 75 this coming Friday. Seems like the Lord isn’t through with me yet.
