Jury awards more than $104M in lawsuit over ghost gun used in Louisville teen's death by suicide
Louisville mother Laura Herp sued online đź‘»gun seller Husky Armory and its parent company after her 18-year-old son, Henry Willis, died by suicide three years ago.
Not to minimize the tragic story, but the CLEARLY biased and INTENTIONALLY deceptive reporting bugs the shit out of me:
According to the lawsuit, Willis received an 80% build kit, meaning it was 80% assembled with 100% of the parts included.
A couple screws later, Willis had a fully operable pistol. The family's attorney said Husky sold the kit online without checking his age or criminal record. Both checks would've disqualified him. All Willis had to do was check a box saying he was 21.
BULLSHIT! It was no "80% assembled." It was 0% assembled. The frame was 80% unfinished.
And not to be pedantic (I am!), but when it comes to reporting facts (and court testimony) the FACTS matter. There are ZERO screws involved.
My guess that this will bankrupt Husky and the family will get pennies if anything at all. They ain't getting $104M. Ever. And the lawyers knew this. So, that raises the rhetorical question... Why the lawsuit? To put these companies out of business. It's a simple as that. They can't legislate them away. So, they resort to lawfare.
Ah, and the son had a criminal record, eh? By age 18, eh? Sounds like he had a lot of issues. What role did the parents play? Did they get him help?
Some of us here did business with Husky Armory. And the owner even paid us a visit:
I just tried... Husky Armory website is offline.
