My wife got the flu like a month ago, she works in healthcare treats random people all the time, she hasn't gotten a flu shot in years (she once worked for a company that required it)

I was out getting the mail and a neighbor asked how my wife was doing, not really thinking anything of it I was like she has the flu, she hasn't been feeling well for about 2 weeks

it didn't even take a split second before the neighbor said DID SHE GET A FLU SHOT???

I was like no

oh well that is why she got the flu (in like a know it all tone)

so I had to keep going

You know miss know it all neighbor lady, I haven't had a flu shot since I was like 12 years old (I am in my fifties now) and I never get the flu, I haven't had the flu since I was a kid (really I just don't get it)

I continued that my sick wife has been coughing on me and I have been taking care of her while she was sick, so since I didn't get the flu shot how do you explain me not getting the flu being around a contagious person 24/7 (I work from home)?

her response was only, well you should get the shot

WTF is wrong with people? I don't get the fucking flu why in the world would I get a flu shot?

I am willing to bet my flu immunities are off the charts because I don't get the shot. I am 100% certain my wife got flu germs on me while she was sick, its amazing what an immune system can do unassisted.

That's an easy one, and it was REALLY evident during the covid hysteria. MOST people are intellectually lazy, and they find it MUCH easier to go through life following orders... doing what they're supposed to do... doing as told... blindly accepting the "conventional wisdom." And the BEST part is that they get to simultaneously claim the MORAL HIGH GROUND. They are OFFICIALLY given permission to sneer at and deride any non-conformist who DARES to engage in critical thought or is crazy enough to question the narrative... or... egads... demand actual proof! That's just heresy! And they're PROUD to execute officially-endorsed public excoriation and social excommunication upon those of us who refuse to reflexively fall into line... like they have.
 
I checked.
Over the last 20 years, the vaccine that the CDC released was considered effective for 12 out of 20 flu seasons. These years are rated as the vaccine providing 40-60% effectiveness.

Three of the 20 years were total misses where the strain that predominated was not the strain they developed the shot for. So, pretty much zero effectiveness.

The rest of the years (5) were of mixed results.

So even when they nail the strain, it's still a coin toss whether the shot prevents the flu or lessens the severity. There's no way to know if the shot protected you, or you simply weren't exposed, or your robust immune system did it all by itself.

Bottom line, you really can't tell whether the shot prevented or lessened the flu or did nothing at all when at best it's only effective about half the time during the best years.

Racer88, I agree with you, life is easier when you just accept the popular narrative. No independent thought required, no arguments, and you can look down upon those that are less smart than you by advising them to get the shot :D

But as I've said before.... as HEINOUS as the crimes were, NONE of them would have been possible without the WILLFUL compliance AND complicity of the population of citizens. All we had to do was to SAY NO. Some of us did. But not enough.
 
Came down with it last week and still recovering. Had it back in '21 and it took 6 weeks to get my strength back. We never took the shot.

Just more evidence that the CDC is no longer (maybe never was) about Science.

IF the CDC was a scientifically based agency....

The headline should be, "We don't know for sure."

It should NOT be, "Vaccines do not cause Autism." Nor should it be, "Vaccines cause Autism." Both of those are declarative / conclusive statements of causation / non-causation that cannot be backed up with independent peer-reviewed studies.

Further elaboration would include something like, "There is conflicting evidence, and further studies are imperative." Because correlation does not equal causation. And absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. To come to a solid conclusion takes TIME and effort in the form of multiple peer reviewed studies.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of that will actually happen. There is WAY too much money being made.
 
What if autism was always there, we just didn't call it that? 🤔 You know, the weird kid in the neighborhood that never wanted to come out and play? Maybe we made fun of him occasionally but mostly ignored him. We were taking vaccines back then, as well... :rolleyes:

The reason I mention this is I think there are a lot of parents who "play" the system to get extra benefits. "Your kid has ADHD, here is some more money and drugs he can take." :rolleyes: Some recent local news story about some low-income woman needing help, she said something to the effect of "I have three kids with autism." What does that have to do with it? I'm not making light of autism, just that it is over-diagnosed and treated, IMO.

My kids got the recommended vaccines otherwise they were not going to get into public school. The doctors were also wanting to prescribe mood enhancers or some other shit and I said "No fucking way!" They probably inherited ADHD from me and I never took anything for it. I just learned to channel my energies differently. We are the original mega-multi-taskers! ;)

Actual Science takes all that into account. But the river of money created by what you describe puts ENORMOUS political pressure on and against REAL Science. So, the chances of truly independent peer-reviewed studies become almost zero. That's the unfortunate reality.

We used to be able to trust the CDC, WHO, etc.... Not anymore. They've been politicized, and I don't think there is any going back. And when they TRY to go back to actual Science, people scream bloody murder.
