You can deny and and attempt to dissuade me here all you want. It doesn’t change what my original post is conveying which is - My point : exactly what GSW10 posted. Whether it’s true or not that’s what’s being peddled as science and that’s a fact.
I'm not trying to dissuade you or anyone. And there is nothing to "deny." I completely respect anyone's beliefs when it comes to religious vs scientific views of the origins of humans. Really, I do. My only point here is to refute the "conventional wisdom" of what evolution actually is. Much of the objections are based on misrepresentations (like the artistic "March of Progress").
Like I said... even while not being religious myself, I see religion and actual theories of evolution being quite compatible and even intertwined. Based on my knowledge of biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, physics, etc... I have a hard time believing that lightning struck some magic soup and life arose from that. I understand that some amino acids may have been produced. But going from that to even a very simple living organism is quite a leap.
And there is a LOT of stuff out there being peddled as "science." LOL! I think we're in agreement there... to wit.... COVID "vaccines." I cannot tell you how frustrating it was as a person who is very well-versed in Science to be lectured by people whose own exposure to science left off at their business-degree-required science credit - mostly likely
"Biology for Poets & Lovers" or
"Rocks for Jocks" in their freshman year of college. If that!
They're getting their "science" from Newsweek and the NYT and sending me those articles. Meanwhile I'm getting my information on COVID MRNA vaccines from "Frontiers in Immunology" (and other peer reviewed sources). Not a single person took me up on my offer to send them those articles to read. But they got mad at me for not "believing in science" according to NEWSWEEK!
Similarly, what is being peddled as the "science of evolution" is not at all true, especially to those of us who have actually studied evolution. I took a whole semester on just Evolution, specifically. Of course, it also was part of many other courses I took.
Nowhere in the ACTUAL science of evolution has it ever been suggested that "humans evolved from apes / monkeys / etc." I know that's what some people are saying and believing. But it's simply not true... just as untrue as the mythical "assault weapon." Unfortunately, Science and History have long been distorted in the public school system. To wit... from a local high school book: (Look at the blue highlighted annotation -
"for military purposes" in the 2A.) Also note the language in the pretext of the amendment:
"The people MAY bear arms."
The "March of Progress" illustration is nothing more than a piece of "art" based on either fantasy or a misunderstanding of evolution. No matter how many people SAY that it represents the theory of evolution, they are factually incorrect.
