First, I will start with resources.

Here is a concise list of the main sites and platforms where **3D printable handgun frames** (and related firearm frames/receivers) are commonly indexed, hosted, or shared in the 3D2A community:

**GunCAD Index** (guncadindex.com) — Search engine/index for thousands of designs, links to files (many handgun frames like Glock variants, Sig, etc.).

**SpreadTheSignal** (spreadthesignal.com) — Direct downloads for many printable handgun frames (Glock clones, M&P, FNX, etc.).

**Odysee** (odysee.com) — Decentralized hosting; key channels like @TheGatalog-PrintableFramesReceivers for STL files and guides (e.g., DD19.2, Phalanx45, PP43X).

**CTRL+Pew** (ctrlpew.com) — Community hub with news, guides, new releases, and links to frames (e.g., from The Gatalog, Ubar series mentions).

**PrintYour2A** (printyour2a.com) — Free downloads for printable frames with matching steel rails/templates.

**3D Gun Builder** (3dgunbuilder.com) — Curated list/downloads of printable pistols/frames (e.g., Pocket Pleaser, various Glock-inspired).

**Print A 22** (print-a-22.com) — List/downloads of printable .22 cal pistols and rifles (e.g., SR722, PS522, HP22A, Buckmarque).

Last resort
**DEFCAD** (defcad.com) — Largest dedicated 3D gun file repository/archive with direct downloads, including popular printable frames (e.g., FMDA DD series, Hellcat frames).
See the discussion on DEFCAD below.

**Notes**: These are community/open-source focused—always verify legality in your state/US (e.g., ATF rules on frames/receivers), use tested designs with proper materials, and source commercial parts (slides, barrels) separately. I would start with CTRL+Pew or SpreadTheSignal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next, I would like to share best searching terms and their design relationships.

### From GunCAD Index
(guncadindex.com)
This is one of the most comprehensive indexes for 3D-printed gun designs. It catalogs thousands of entries, including many handgun frames (searchable under categories like "Handgun" or "Frame/Receiver"). Some notable printable handgun frames listed there include:

**RD19.2** ("Rails Down") — Optimized Glock 19 frame variant using DD19.2 rails.

**Sigxty Nine** — 3D printable frame for Sig P226/P228/P229 series.

**CyberGlonk** (PP43X and PP19X variants) — Glock-compatible, available in G43X and G19X styles with DD43.1/DD19.2 rails.

**Glock Rock** — Custom Glock 19 Gen 3 frame.

**Big Point** — 3D printable Hi-Point frame (for .40 S&W/.45 ACP).

**Phalanx45** (updated) — .45 ACP handgun frame/receiver.

**PLASTICCATTO** — Another printable handgun frame design.

**Sphynx** — 3D printable M9-series (Beretta 92) frame.

**OK Zoomer V2** — Includes references to various frames like FNX9/40.

Others: SD9 Glock Mag Conversion Frame, Simple SWG 9/40 frame.

For a full list, visit guncadindex.com, agree to the disclaimer, and search terms like "frame", "handgun", "Glock", "receiver", or specific models (it indexes over 7,000+ designs total).

### From SpreadTheSignal.com
This site hosts direct downloads for many printable frames, often Glock-inspired or clones of commercial designs:

**The M&P** — 3D printable Smith & Wesson M&P9 / M&P40 frame.

**Freeman's SR9** — Ruger SR9-inspired frame with DIY rail.

**SD40 Cobra** — Printable SD40 frame.

**DD20.1** — Glock 20/21 frame (10mm/.45 ACP compatible).

**The FNX9/40** — FN FNX-9/40 frame.

**Freeman's DB380** — .380 ACP micro-compact frame.

**3D Printable G43 SS80 Frame** — Glock 43 inspired, using SS80-style rails.

Others: Various G19 variants (e.g., with PSA Dagger rails), Alpha series PDW/grip frames.

### From Odysee (various channels, e.g., @TheGatalog-PrintableFramesReceivers)
Odysee hosts many uploads from The Gatalog and others, often with STL files or build instructions:

**FMDA DD19.2** — Classic Glock 19 frame (widely referenced/tested in PLA+).

**DD20.1** — Glock 20/21 frame by Digital Nimbus Labs.

**PP43X** — Printable Glock 43X receiver (needs DD43.1 or SS80 rails).

**3dP0709** — CZ P-07 / P-09 frame by DB Firearms.

**Glock V2 Gigapack** — Collection of stippled/ergonomic Glock frames (DDxx.2 compatible).

**Freeman's Glock 17 Gen3** (F17/vG17 updates) — Glock 17 frame variants.

**PPEE80** — Polymer 80-style frames (compatible with P80/DD19.2/DD17.2 rails).

Others: Phalanx45, PLASTICCATTO, OK Zoomer, various Glock-compatible packs.

Many Odysee uploads link back to The Gatalog community (thegatalog.com) for more context/downloads.

Note: These are community-driven, open-source style projects for educational/hobbyist purposes in jurisdictions where such activities are legal.
GunCAD Index is a search engine that links to external files (it doesn't host them), SpreadTheSignal.com offers direct downloads, and Odysee hosts videos/files from creators like The Gatalog. Designs evolve with versions/updates, and many are compatible with specific rails (e.g., DD19.2, DD17.2, SS80) or parts kits.

Additional Notes
- Popular themes: Glock-based frames (G19, G17, G43/X, G20/21) dominate due to parts availability (e.g., rails like DD19.2 from community sources). Others include Beretta M9, Sig P226, Hi-Point, CZ, Ruger, S&W M&P clones.
- Resources often cross-link (e.g., The Gatalog on Odysee, files mirrored on SpreadTheSignal, indexed on GunCAD Index).
- Avoid unverified sources for safety/durability reasons—many designs specify materials (e.g., high-infill PETG/ABS/PLA+) and testing.

Can you turn the urls into actual links? If you don't know how, I can go in and edit.

It's easy, though. Highlight the text you want to turn into the live link, and then click here at the top of the comment window (red circle):

and fill in the pop-up form.

Sure can. Easier to do on the computer but will get it done

Friends don’t let friends use FEDCAD. I don’t know that would describe them as open source, user friendly, or anything that is positively related to 3D2A. Feel free to research Cody Wilson yourself and determine if his for profit company is one you want to support. Also, nothing against CTRL Pew as he was one of the original pioneers that pump info out to the masses, but if I read correctly he is currently involved in a pretty big lawsuit (nothing like Cody Wilson’s past, but nonetheless a lawsuits). Honestly, guncadindex should be able to provide everything you could need. It indexes all the other places to generate its list. Odysee would be the next best thing but 1. Guncadindex already scrapes their site. 2. If you don’t know exactly what you are looking for (newbies) the user experience isn’t the best or easiest to navigate.

Just my 2cents. Mainly just came to give a strong warning about Cody Wilson and Fedcad.

This reminded me of a frame I printed and actually won 2nd place on one of P80 Ralph’s Roasts (thanks to AG Cast’s nomination).

If the site doesn't have switches and suppressors and yankee boogles listed for download it's a trash site.

Thanks for the information. I just made this thread to provide pro 3D2A information. I do not support nor do i condone that actions of of Cody Wilson. DEFCAD is still a resource. It is stated in the post that a lot of the sites do link back to 1 of/or 2 file repository sites like Odysee.

As the weeks go on, I will be making it easier to find things that are being looked for. Updating and linking in the post above to provide a one stop shop for finding files.

DEFCAD is not a resource.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would never advise anyone in or looking to get into 3D2A to reference defcad. Especially when there are so many other places. That would be like telling a kid that the worlds best amusement park is on Little Saint James…
