I haven't seen the film, but the comments said this was a parody based on a scene from Inglorious Basterds. Maybe one of the gang that has seen it can elaborate.

It may be referencing that France's power grid has a substantial portion of its generating capacity provided by wind and solar. During heat waves and peak demand, they fall back on nuclear and battery storage at night and when the sun and wind are insufficient.

I get it. But it's weird. A big part of that is because of the so-called "AI." I am baffled by those people who try to claim that "AI" videos are indistinguishable from video of real live people / events. The "AI slop" is cartoonish and SUPER-OBVIOUS to me.

That is based on a scene in IB where a Frenchman is hiding Jews in the crawl space. The actor who plays the Nazi in IB does a wonderful job. (don't remember his name) Recommended movie if you don't mind the Tarantino schtick and/or are a fan of Brad Pitt. 😘 There is violence and a little gore so maybe not a movie for the wife or young kids.
