What has been your experience with Modulus Arms?

I placed an order for a 5D AR-15 jig and end mill/drill bits on April 2nd. The items appeared to be in stock. I have received the end mill/drill bits, but not the jig. I have tried contacting them twice (through their web site and via email), but I have received no response. I can understand if there is a backlog of orders to fill or if there are delays getting the jigs from 5D, but I am not happy with the lack of communication. If there are expected delays, Modulus should put a statement on their home page.

We may want to flag their listing on our Community Vendor List.

Final follow up.

I contacted Modulus Arms 3 times to cancel the order prior to shipment of the jig. They acknowledged my request prior to shipment and agreed to refund the cost. I will refuse acceptance/ return the package to them

Other than slow communications, they have been courteous and professional.

5D was total garbage to deal with back when I ordered my Universal Pistol Jig from them. Took months to get it and when I finally did it was missing pieces so I had to ship it back and they sent me another. The replacement has some horrible blemishes on it but at that point I was so done dealing with them that I just kept it.

So yea, I can only imagine what their vendors have to deal with.

I placed an order on April 16, 2026 for replacement parts for a GEN 3 Multiplatform Jig , for $112.97. I have called them and left messages, and have never recieved a response , and emailed them, and just got the standard message back we are a small company, we will get back to you. After 15 emails, and several phone calls leaving a message with my phone number to call me back or email me. I am still waiting to hear from them. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!

Well that sucks. Can you just ask your CC / bank to dispute the charge?

During the past week to ten days (estimated), Modulus Arms marked almost everything on their shop as out of stock just before one of he biggest sale days of the year - Memorial Day.

Almost simultaneously and just prior to that "out of stock" notice came an email announcement from 5D Tactical that jig parts were now being resurrected on 5D's website and were now available. Prior to 5D's announcement (see below), Modulus was the provider of 5D Tactical Jigs and spare parts.

My speculation is that Modulus may be in some deeper shit business-wise as many of the PMF industry has seen during the past few years.

My theory, (speculation, no facts) is Modulus is closing, revamping it's business model, changing company ownership, folding, selling inventory, or many of the other similar things we've seen with vendors over the past few years. Unfortunately, it leaves many folks out of money and or parts not delivered, or delayed indefinitely.

Thus, if you haven't figured it out yet, or unaware, Caveat Emptor!

Further to this, remember the situation with P80Builder, Florida Man and Zaffarini.
Those all appeared to be some manifestation of parts from the same parent company and they folded gradually in a chain over a year or so - Except for Zaffarini. But Zaffarini, pared back a lot on the types of slides and sizes of slides they market now.

Modulus and 5D have always been similar to this scenario with Zaffarini too and I thought I read a good while back (years ago) that some of the employees or partners split off from Modulus to sell independently as 5D Tactical. And yep, the jigs are amazingly alike. Then the AFT started their BS under Biden and we had Modulu selling 5D parts for years. Probably due to 5D wanting to sell lowers and not wanting the legal consequences for selling both jigs and lowers during the Biden years.

And the PMF environment continues changing due to 2A infringements .............. Keep your head and your billfold on a swivel! 🤔
