Stop and think for a few seconds. Read the headline carefully.

I'm guessing they show views to east and west in the article?

You don't need to read the article. Read the headline. What is wrong with the headline?

The article refers to a map that I am unable to view which provides context for the headline. Without seeing the map, I cannot say that anything is wrong with the headline.

No context needed. This is ONLY about the headline, which speaks for itself. Read the headline very carefully. This JUMPED out at me. Though, neither my wife nor daughter caught it.

Read that headline from a logical / literal standpoint. There is something VERY wrong with the headline.

I'll wait to drop the next hint. But SURELY someone here will catch it.

The sun doesn’t care what time our human clocks say it is.

Winner, winner! Chicken dinner!

The key words are "LOOK LIKE."

The sunrise and sunset will LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME regardless of what any fucking CLOCK says! LOL!

The TIME of sunrise / sunset may change with whatever time WE set on the CLOCK. But astrophysics cares NOTHING about the human artificial construct of "time of day" indicated by a clock... it doesn't matter even if the clock is STOPPED. The universe goes on.

All of our sundials can be off by one hour

The sundial is always right. At noon anyway. It is correct for the geographic spot it is sitting on. The sun is at its highest point on the horizon.

I just had argument with some twat about this very same thing.
He is convinced changing the clocks upset wild game movements.
Ya know cuz the whitetail is use to raiding the field at 0345, not 0445.

LOL! WOW! Ummmm.... yeah... WOW!

Maybe the deer and other wildlife have all their watches synchronized? "On my mark...."

I think must heard( doubt he read) about cattle/live stock farms not participating because it upset the flow of things. Like milk cows stop producing when you mess with feeding time etc.

I think that I would set one clock to their feeding schedule and go by that. The rest of my clocks would be at whatever big brother says. Shouldn’t be hard to figure a work around if it matters that much.

Anyone with pets knows that domesticated animals are creatures of habit and will notice if you feed them at a different time.

But again... the headline is MORONIC. No matter what the clocks say, the sunrise and sunset will LOOK exactly the same. But then again... the article was written by Oregonians! 😏
