Ranger Proof Vex F3 Trigger Shoe

Anything I carry will not misfire but I'm with you on the extra safety margin of a longer trigger pull for your EDC. Short pull short reset triggers are for the range and or competition. No way and no how would I want a short pull trigger in a life-threatening stressful situation on any Glock/Glock clone guns.

If you look at the picture of the modified cruciform engagement with the Vex installed, the engagement is as good as any stock trigger. I'll do some drop tests and let you know for sure. Since it is a range gun, it has not been tested. The G5 trigger housing and the + connector do make a difference. I get what you are saying though, and I understand an abundance of caution especially with firearms.

Have you tried the GPT yet? I think you would like it.

FWIW, and not to bicker, but my experience was exactly the opposite of Racer's. Go figure. I've installed 6 of these in different builds, w/OEM trigger bar, housing, dot connectors; and not a drop safe failure among any of them. Proper sear clearance checked as well... and yes, drop-tested from shoulder height, every time. Hideous little twisted test. lololololololol

I don't find the trigger pull stroke too short for CC, & have CC'd them in my 26. Not unsafe at all. I've compared the stroke vs OEM stock trigger setup onhand here.

Full disclosure- I've moved-on from this brand with a few other builds since, to Overwatch Precision; but ONLY because I like the idea of the polymer trigger shoes instead of the aluminum.

We still run the VexF3's and they are superb. The setup I referenced gives shockingly good trigger in a Glock-genepool. Reset is sure and the second pull would have you thinking it's anything but a Glock. Again, for me, I don't find the trigger stroke short at all for CC. YMMV.

Again, the sear engagement is / was NOT the issue. It's the trigger shoe itself.

Perhaps in performance, but not safety, since that's not the problem I encountered. Neither would solve my problem, since they aren't the source of the problem.

Not yet.

My sear engagement was also good. As I said... not the problem. The trigger shoe itself was the problem.

Yeah... I still cringe on the drop tests. :)

My take on it.

@One Ping Only I have a PolyDat shoe in my 940v2, like it very much.

So I did send a message to Johnny Glocks site, inquiring about purchasing, two set screws for the Vex.

They were kind enough to send me out, at no charge, a pair of screws, allen wrench, and nice JG sticker. 😁
I put a little paint on the copper color, and am good to go!

Love my Ranger Proof and JG Vex shoes.
nicely done Sir! Love the different optic choice on each gun. Do you have a fave?
Is Warfinger one in the same as Ranger Proof... The new Talon looks great but will probably stick with the Vex3 because it is flat and seems like there would be a little less overall finger manipulation...thoughts?
I am not a comp guy just an old retired dude with another expensive habit...tinkering.
