It just so happens that a co-worker is a Olight junkie and can be counted on to have no less than 3 lights on her on any given day. This allowed me to see and hold the various models and make a hands on decision.

Olight i3T
AAA powered light that is very slim. (Alkaline battery included)

Low: 5 lumens
High: 180 lumens
2 way pocket clip for pocket or attaching to hat bill.

Length: 3.5"
Dia: .59"
Weight: 1.45oz.

5 lumens doesn't sound that great, but is plenty for finding your way in the dark without blinding you.
180 lumens is the same rating as my old Fenix PD20.

Runtime: (Presumably w/ alkaline battery)

Low: 16 hours
High: 21 minutes

The light is also rated for AAA Lithium and NiMH cells.

Olight i5T
AA light (Alkaline battery included)
Low: 15 lumens
High: 300 lumens
2 way pocket clip for pocket or attaching to hat bill.

Length: 3.74"
Dia: .7"
Weight: 2.12oz.

Runtime: (Presumably w/ alkaline battery)

Low: 20 hours
High: 3 minutes, then steps down to 50% power for the next 25 minutes, then down to 10% for 122 minutes.

This light is rated for Alkaline and NiMH only. No reason given for excluding Lithium, but probably a heat issue when used on high.

Olight i5R

Same as the i5T, except it has a removable, rechargeable battery and 50 extra lumens on high.
Longer run times as well.

Olight Baton 3

Incredibly bright small light with rechargeable battery.
1200 lumens on turbo down to .5 lumens on low. Total of 5 brightness settings.
Magnetic tail cap. Magnetic puck charging.
L 2.48
Dia. .83
Weight 1.87oz.

Olight Warrior Mini 2

Insanely bright on turbo.
5 brightness settings from 1 to 1750 lumens
Proximity sensor that automatically dims so it doesn't set your pack on fire if accidentally turned on.
Magnetic tail cap. Magnetic puck charging.

Olight BALDR Mini Weapon Light

600 lumens
Integral green laser
Selectable for light only, laser only, or both.
Magnetic puck charging

Olight runs frequent sales with substantial discounts.

Olight rubbed me the wrong way when they first started mass marketing and having all the YouTubers promoting their product. Usually that’s reserved for cheap products. With that said, I do own one Olight and I can say it’s not a bad light at all. I still prefer a streamlight though.

Nice write-up, OP. I had never even heard of the O-lights until I joined the MGB forum. They seem to be popular. But, I've not held one.

I have some Streamlights:
  • weapon mounted TLR-1.
    FNP-45T.jpg
  • EDC pocket Pro-Tac 1L.

  • Pro-Tac HPL
Then I also have a Fenix PD36R

I like them all. But, if I had to pick one, it would be the Fenix for me. It's easier to toggle through brightness levels.

I've got a Fenix PD20 that I carried for 1o years. Pocket clip finally broke.
Went to order a new clip and they wanted $10 for the clip, and another $10 to mail it.
That's when my co-worker showed me the Olights.

$10 shipping for a $10 clip? Nope!

Yeah, no shit!
The AAA i3T Olight was $14 on sale. Free shipping above a certain dollar figure. I forget how much, but I bought multiple i3T's for Christmas stocking stuffers, so made the limit for free shipping.

This popped up on Amazon while I was Christmas shopping for the wife. So, I bought my own stocking stuffer.
This is a recent release from Olight called the Oclip.
Basically a small clip on light with a magnetized clip.

4 brightness settings: Runtime:
1.5 lumens 30 hours
10 lumens 12 hours
100 lumens 90 minutes
300 lumens 1 minute @ 100% then 60 minutes @ 60%

There is also a beacon mode, strobe mode, and red light mode for preserving night vision. The red light can also be made to blink.

The light has an IPX5 rating, meaning it can withstand splashes/rain, but not immersion.
There is a hole for attaching a lanyard.
Recharges via USB C in about 1.5 hours.

No banana handy. 38 Special cartridge for scale.
$30 on Amazon.

Since the last posting, I have bought a couple of new lights.

The OClip Pro (orange) is a larger version of the Oclip (green) and has spot, flood and red functions with blink and strobe. More lumens, longer runtime, just larger. Other features, same as the OClip.

Since the wife works from home now, and I'm retired, we have taken up walking for exercise. I clip the light to my hat and set it to blink red so passing cars can see us. (No sidewalks here)

The small light is the iMini2. A handy light for lanyard use or clipped to a back pack strap for night use. You simply pull the front half of the light away from the base and it turns on. No buttons, no twisting anything. Great for one handed use. Light turns off when you rejoin the halves, which are magnetic and very easy to do one handed. The magnet is in the light half so it will stick to any ferrous metal for hands free use. The tail piece is a USB tab. No charging cord required. Just remove the cover and plug it directly into any USB port to charge.

All of these are available in various colors and designs. Amazon has them as well as direct purchase from OLight.
Sales and bundled deals are frequent.

I had the Baton 3 until someone wanted it more and stole it from my toolbox at work. I now have the warrior 3. Both were gifted to me by my grandchildren (thanks son). The biggest pro with them in my book is the longer than ever battery life, with not having to cycle through strobe to shut them off a very close second.

I really like them alot but am such a cheapskate that I would never had them if I were buying it for myself. I find it kinda hard to justify $100+ for a flashlight that my life or livelihood doesn't depend on.

Needless to say the warrior never even gets set in my toolbox, only clipped in my pocket when it's not in use at work.

Get (or hint for X-Mas) one of the either AA or AAA lights for EDC. I never leave home without it. And it provides much better illumination that a cell phone light.
