I personally like the look and enjoy using the hand roll crimper over the machine. I was a little heavy handed at first but after a while found the correct pressure and speed.

The hand roll method certainly has a relaxing ASMR quality to it, even with the rooster accompaniment.

Do you know if Flite Control type wads are available as a component? I have shot tons (not the other ton) of them in classes and am really pleased at the tight precise patterns they give. I have also shot tons (still not the other ton!) of the Federal Gold Medal Paper loads in wobble trap and like the way the shells feel in the hand. It might be nice to be able to combine the wad and the paper hull while also being able to experiment with different sizes & quantities of buckshot.

As far as I can tell that wad is only available in Federal Flite Control 00 and Hornady Critical Defense 00.

It might be nice to be able to get the same small pattern with 8 pellets of 000. That stuff ☝️ turns a cheapie 12 gauge cylinder bore defensive shotgun into a precision instrument. Federal has a low velocity version with 8 pellets that is very easy to control. They also have a high velocity 9 pellet verson for more umph. Hornady's version is 8 pellets and high velocity to split the difference.
