Built another FrankenRuger. This one has a Zaffiri G26 Goon slide, Herrington Arms compensator, Glock Gen 5 trigger housing and trigger bar, Ruger RXM frame, P80 G26 locking block, Glock Gen 5 Ambidextrous slide stop lever, P80 type rear rails, no Ruger RXM FCU, Lone Wolf EFT trigger, Glock dot connector.

Do you have a pic of the inside for us? :)

I had an opportunity to handle an RXM last Sunday during Public Day at my range (I'm an RSO). My dot's BF showed up with his newly-acquired RXM and it was slow so I was able to spend some time with him and the gun although I did not fire it. He did and had a nice group at 7yds. I did present the gun towards the target several times and found it pointing low for me so an RXM may NOT be in my future. ;)

Yes, I will post a pic of the interior.

Honestly, Gen 3 based guns are underwhelming as they come so not sure why buyers rave about them - just don't get it. The only thing I can think of is the ones raving have never shot working clones like the P80 or built versions using registered frames. The RXM is Gen 3 based without the ability to drop in a trigger system like a GPT. Ruger uses their own FCU which has parts that are Glockish with their own locking block. Building one of these takes skill and effort. You can build a much better clone for less and much easier by utilizing a PSA Dagger or Dagger S frame. Even the SCT frame is better. I build them because the frames are cheap, you can adapt the Glock trigger housings with some work, not serialized, and the nose will accept Gen 4/5 parts as it has additional material that can be removed for clearance.

I have built a total of 5 of these. Was first with a Timney system using their trigger housing, now Timney makes one for the RXM. Did one with a Gen 4 based 19L slide. One with a Glock Performance Trigger. Another 2 using their locking block with rails I made myself. None of these has a Ruger FCU as that is the only serialized part in an RXM.

Some internal pics and an untouched frame to compare.

Better view of the wall I had to make in order to retain the Glock trigger housing. The RXM frame doesn’t come with the wall as the trigger housing and FCU tilt into that area and the back is held in place by the rear shelf of the frame. If you don’t have that wall and or not use their trigger housing or FCU, it would just fall forward as there is nothing that would retain the trigger housing.

Super interesting!
How did you pinpoint where to drill the rear rail holes?
