quick question

the hk45 is the first, last and only handgun, in the history of handguns, that has a PERFECTLY mirrored manual of arms, (safety, decocker, slide release, lever mag release) perfectly mirrored on one side and the other.

however i would like to make some changes to the design, instead of it being 45, i want 9mm, instead of 10rd mag, i want 20 round, and instead of polymer, i want it all to be out of solid stainless steel.

i'm not building an entirely new gun, but i want to take the design and make some changes, all the parts are there, i'm just going to try to make it out of a different material and in a different caliber.

that being said, i have no idea how to do this or where to start, are there resources i can read? like books? videos? movies? manuals? other forums?

thank you

You keep asking the same questions over and over again.

IF it is legal for you to do so, you NEED to go buy yourself a HK 45 and post up pics. Go to the range with it--shoot a couple boxes of ammo and pics of your targets. Look it over, take measurements, figure out how you think you will improve it. You can't just design/build something out of thin air and expect it to work without a working sample. There is no book that will make up for a craftsman's mind and imagination.

Otherwise I think you are a bot spinning your (and our) wheels.

HK already has the USP in 9mm and it can be changed to left handed with parts. The HK 45 is based off of the USP.
Just sayin'

I noticed a number of USP parts "kits" on GB last night. I watch some of the "gunbuster" auctions to keep an eye on current pricing although I wasn't watching USPs...
