From what I gather, the DOJ said we will enforce and interpret the law. Just opens it up for another lawsuit if they try to enforce. This is kind of like a woman saying she reserves the right to change her mind - it’s not a lie.

Yeah... but do you want to be the test case?

They are the ones holding ALL the cards. You may be right (that it's unconstitutional).... But you'll be "right" while in prison.

Won’t be me but it will be the NAGR or GOA you can guarantee that. I need to renew my membership in both just in case as what typically happens is the ones in the class action are the ones protected.

The DOJ may not even arrest anyone. They dropped the charges on the last case as they were going to lose. A loss would have set precedent and they wanted to keep their options open so we have what we have. DOJ is still a disaster.

None of it is worth it to me. Not SBRs. Not suppressors. Not "braces" (which are fucking stupid and uncomfortable). Not "FRTs." It's a potential legal minefield.

Then it will be 80% firearms, 76% firearms, and 10 round magazine limits, limiting calibers, limiting gunpowder, limiting barrel sizes……. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Negative ghost rider. I'm SOLIDLY in the 2A corner. But I'm not buying something that they have STRONGLY indicated could turn me into an instant criminal. Nor will I buy anything that requires registration. I just won't intentionally put myself on the radar. This forum is enough and probably has me on the radar already. :)

Legally is definitely the way to go but being a fighter and a conscientious objector are two different things. With that said, just because a law says something doesn’t make it right or constitutional. I will give my money and my heart to the organizations that make the fight to keep our rights as they are given up in fractions at a time and it’s hard to ever get them back.

That’s how it happens, oh we can give up that freedom and that’s not too bad, well I can live with that, and the next thing you know the rights are all gone and people go what the heck happened to our rights. Oh, you gave them up one at a time. I never thought the Hughes amendment was constitutional nor do I think it is today. I’m not going to go out and covert anything to a machine gun but I will espouse the right that we should have as the only ones without machine guns are law abiding citizens. Police, military, and SOT’s as well as criminals have access. The worst part about many of these insane gun laws is they were passed under Republican leadership. Happened under Reagan and in Florida with Bondi and Rick Scott and that’s really disgusting as a pro 2A Republican.
