I’ve been busy making preparations but may get this done before I depart for my Unplugged and gunless European adventure that’s coming up this month. If it isn't obvious, the frame is going to be the transparent Geisler. The slide was made to order. Took a long time to arrive. I had Zaffiri cut it to fit the Sig Optic. Also got the Zaf barrel to match

Ice Ice Baby.

I can see clear ly now......

Honestly though, I look forward to seeing the completed project. With transparent mag too I hope.

Me too. I’ve looked for a transparent trigger shoe and found none. The mag will definitely be clear.

That is cool as shit. You probably told me about the optic before. But tell us again. Source?

I looked, too. I ended going with matte silver, since I couldn't clear. And I could only find smoked transparent mags, nothing completely clear. But it still looks pretty good, IMO. I still might replace my Holosun with that clear Sig sight.

The ETS mags are pretty clear. A tad smoky but not a lot. The Geisler frame has a greenish tint.

I thought about making a trigger shoe but precision is important for that part and I don’t think I can be comfortable with assuring the reliability. Even though the gun is mostly a looker vs a shooter, it has to work.

I doubt I will get this done before I disappear for a month or two. I’ll give it a shot but I've got to clear a lot off my plate before I get on the plane.

I got those before I built it! LOL

Did you paint the trigger housing silver?

No it’s black (Pyramid Trigger) but it is obscured by the plated rear rail.

I was going to put a better trigger in it but this is mostly for looking at than shooting. I had the Pyramid sitting around and the shoe was silver aluminum. So I decided to just use what I had. It’s a decent trigger. Definitely better than those in a generic lower kit or an OEM Glock.

Other impressions?

1. The Geisler frame is very stout. Much more solidly built than a P80.
2. The jig is not so great. I wouldn’t drill it without a proper drill press or similar Dremel type rig
3. I used a better locking block but adding machined rear rails vs. stamped would have required hogging out some plastic and that would affect the transparency of the frame.
4. The gap between the slide and frame is not as great as some others I have seen photos of.
5. The Zaffari slide and barrel look awesome. I had the slide made to order. Took 3-4 weeks.
6. I had to order screws to fit the Sig optic to the slide. The selection packed with the optic were no long enough. It has a Shield/RMSc footprint.

What locking block did you use? I am looking at building one with silver looking parts topped of with an armorers slide, so naturally I won’t fire it.

Thanks, I think I still have one left. I was under the assumption that Rook didn’t quite match, will look better than the black ones from the kit.
Black would be OK… but I think silver blends in well with the clear plastic.
