Video You've seen knife throwing. But what about BOTTLES?

I have to try this. I do axe, hatchet, and knife throwing. I won an axe throw at a renaissance festival and it got me interested. So I bought the knives and axe and hatchets. It takes some practice but anybody can learn it. It’s strangely satisfying and fun once you have the technique down.

No I do not do the renaissance festival dress up. It was a date. Turns out I like Meade but dislike mutton. The fat kissing wench … also not my thing. My date paid her and I was taken by surprise. If only I were in condition orange this unfortunate kiss could have been avoided.

There was a Celtic Fest last month at a local park I walk at. I got 2 out of 12 axes stuck. I suppose with practice I'd get better.
Some people dressed the part--Angus happily gave me the run-down and history on his kilt, pouches and daggers. And if any ladies were wondering, if he had underwear on, he'd be wearing a dress! :D
And what Celtic Fest doesn't have camel rides? ;)

Well I hope you cut the haggis. The afterwards you cut the cheese. Not good if on a date.

Axe throwing is more finesse than speed. The mistake many people make when throwing knives or axes of some sort is faster or throwing 'harder'. It's really all in the wrist and knowing when in the stroke you let go of the handle. You hand and arm should be pointing directly at the target when you release.

Throwing knives hatchets, tomahawks or axes are not terribly expensive. Way cheaper than ammo!

Imagine a home invader with one of these sticking out of his forehead when the EMTs arrive. I got pretty good at it. Even one handed. That's a bit more difficult with the heavy axe.

If you are the type that likes to entertain... backyard barbecue sort of thing... knife and axe throwing beats the shit out of corn hole and horseshoes. I break those out after everyone has had too many beers to be throwing lethal weapons across the yard. :)
