What's with the snout? That's kinda odd.
We have one that likes to shit in our driveway right next to the car doors. I'm not talking little pellets, I'm talking retriever-sized loads, green, grassy and mushy when fresh. Yes, I've accidentally stepped in them. 😠 (looks up recipes for turtle soup)

So my backyard is about an acre alone and backs up to a 3 acre pond with about 2 miles of public woods on the other side. I have turtles, snakes, etc.. all the typical stuff. Even a alligator that tends to frequent the pond. Last time I saw him he was about 5/6 feet long. However when I see possums, I pull out the AR. I live in a trailer/mobile home that's about 3 feet off the ground. Possums love to get under the house and cause plumbing issues that get expensive quick. This is only backyard wildlife picture I have. This was about 2 weeks ago. When i turned my weapon light on and spotted him, he started running. I got him full tilt run at about 60 yards.

A deer caught on security cam the other night.

While not so ā€œwildā€, we did have this nature show as well. A 12 day process.

Witnessed this at the range last Sunday. Public Day so no camera use allowed but I HAD to sneak a pic in. That is a folding metal chair laying on the back bench I was about to stack with the rest of them out of the way. I left the chair and the little guy alone... :)

Public Day so no camera use allowed
Whaaa? No cameras allowed at a range? That's a new one for me. I use my camera all the time at the range... mostly to take photos of my targets. I take a photo of every target I shoot.

Correct, no cameras. Actually no cell-phones either which of course contain cameras. Think of it from a safety viewpoint with noobs doing selfies and all. They need to concentrate on the task at hand (ie: shooting) and not on a photo op. As RSOs we have to set perfect examples. I would have liked to record a couple fellows shooting watermelons and 2-liters at the plinking range at the end of the "day" (ends at 1pm). But again, no exceptions can be made, even for RSOs. :(

PS: this just Public Day. Any other time is fine to take pics...

Back yard near a small creek. I planted a lot of clover after clearing the land and the deer love it.

I spread milkweed seeds in the hopes of attracting monarchs. They haven't germinated yet. Hopefully they will come up late summer/fall and ready for next spring/summer. I have some low areas where I planted cattails. They drink a lot of water and also attract butterflies.

I have also seen this policy in a few ranges. Even a couple of LGS that have signs on the door - no cameras or picture taking.

I generally agree with the policy. No selfies at the range. I've seen RSOs look the other way when it's regulars who aren't a bunch of frat boy gun renters (Dude... let's go shoot some guns) looking for something to do on the weekend. I also take a pic of my targets now and then.

I understand the issue with clowns doing selfies. Almost invariably they end up muzzling others. No bueno.

I don't do selfies at the range. But I take a photo of (almost) every target. Why? For my range records / log.
