Florida, Daytona area.Florida or Louisiana? Lol
As soon as Alligator came up, I figured it was one of the 2. I'm in South Louisiana.Florida, Daytona area.
While not so āwildā, we did have this nature show as well. A 12 day process.
Whaaa? No cameras allowed at a range? That's a new one for me. I use my camera all the time at the range... mostly to take photos of my targets. I take a photo of every target I shoot.Public Day so no camera use allowed

Wow. Just wow . I see the point .. but wow..Correct, no cameras. Actually no cell-phones either which of course contain cameras. Think of it from a safety viewpoint with noobs doing selfies and all. They need to concentrate on the task at hand (ie: shooting) and not on a photo op. As RSOs we have to set perfect examples. I would have liked to record a couple fellows shooting watermelons and 2-liters at the plinking range at the end of the "day" (ends at 1pm). But again, no exceptions can be made, even for RSOs.
PS: this just Public Day. Any other time is fine to take pics...
I spread milkweed seeds in the hopes of attracting monarchs. They haven't germinated yet. Hopefully they will come up late summer/fall and ready for next spring/summer. I have some low areas where I planted cattails. They drink a lot of water and also attract butterflies. While not so āwildā, we did have this nature show as well. A 12 day process.

I have also seen this policy in a few ranges. Even a couple of LGS that have signs on the door - no cameras or picture taking.Correct, no cameras. I understand the issue with clowns doing selfies. Almost invariably they end up muzzling others. No bueno.I have also seen this policy in a few ranges. Even a couple of LGS that have signs on the door - no cameras or picture taking.
I generally agree with the policy. No selfies at the range. I've seen RSOs look the other way when it's regulars who aren't a bunch of frat boy gun renters (Dude... let's go shoot some guns) looking for something to do on the weekend. I also take a pic of my targets now and then.
