It's what they are designed for. Guns have always been about evening the odds and if possible making the odds uneven in favor of the one with the gun. Or the better gun. This is reality. Guns are not about shooting paper. They are made to kill.

In a world without guns, if I were sitting in a restaurant and a guy comes in with a bat I'd be removing his eyes with a fork in two minutes. If he has a gun the wounded and casualties are a lot higher. I;m not suggesting guns are the problem. I'm suggesting psychos and criminals are the problem. So we need to quit making it easy for them.

Timothy McVeigh was a weak coward who used a truck, some diesel and some fertilizer to kill a whole bunch of people. No bat. No knife. No gun. His victims never even saw him.
 
There are laws on the books for mental incapacitation being a disqualifier for legally owning guns. He's simply adding the trans people to the list, which is quite understandable.

There is something very wrong with somebody who wants a (cue Rush Limbaugh) "Addadicktome" sex-change surgery, or the reverse. It is NOT normal, natural, OR rational.

Look at amount of these shooters that were trans...and/or on psychotropic meds.

So I would agree with this push.

True yet also quite a stretch from firearms. It’s already illegal for anybody to make bombs. And now it’s a lot easier to get caught making one after McVeigh and Kansas City. Fertilizer is traceable now. So is gunpowder. Buy enough of it there will be a knock at your door. Both also leave trace evidence to who bought it.

it’s a lot harder now for miscreants bring anything onto an airplane. Law changed and billions have been spent on securing aircraft and making travel safer. I don’t know anyone who thinks we should once again allow box cutters on aircraft because most people simply use them to open boxes.

I have some personal experience here. I have a coworker that I got to know fairly well over the years as a man. He turned into a man in woman's clothes and makeup, was that way for about a year, then went full on surgery, cut his dick off and had some boobs added.

In talking with the person that was previously a man with a penis, you gain some insight, my unprofessional opinion is there is 100% a mental illness going on. What it is exactly or how to help is beyond me. I am an IT guy, computers are logical, people are not.

I saw a comedian (forget which one) who suggested arming ALL the passengers. Pass out pistols to each passenger as they board. Guaranteed no hijacking! LOL! Think about it.

Crazy is better defined than most people think. In matters of law this is what is most often used as a guide. The APA and other associations and academics/researchers contribute to it.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is figuratively the Bible of Crazy for Psychiatrists and mental health professionals. Those who disagree with it are likely to be crazy. :)

The problem is not the desire to change sex. The problem is the drug cocktails required to make this happen. Cross dressing is a little odd to me but whatever makes you happy.

If some dude walks into a shop to buy a gun dressed in an evening gown, high heels and full make up, it's not a problem. If some dude, sorry now lady walks in, twig and berries cut off, pumped full of synthetic hormones, anti depressants, pain killers, etc. Then, it's a problem.
