Article Link! Colorado lawmakers pass bill to ban 3D printing of guns after veto threat forces amendments

COUNTLESS lives saved huh? After reading the article, I’ve come to the conclusion that this will have a virtual zero effect on saving lives. I really think they should pass legislation to limit mean, hurtful, or harmful acts as that would be more broad encompassing and would be better for their society as a whole. LOL! We know how criminals follow the law so this will only affect the law abiding as usual.

Washington state has introduced bills regulating 3d printing and requiring DRM to detect firearm components

"would also make it illegal to distribute files that can be used to print firearms."

Washington state has introduced 2 bills aimed at regulating the use of 3d printers and Cnc mills. These bills would make it illegal to print components for many types of (already illegal) firearms, but would also make it illegal to distribute files that can be used to print firearms.

In addition the 2nd bill is aimed directly at the 3d printer manufacturers. Making it illegal to sell or distribute printers without Drm that prevents the printer from printing firearm components.
You can read the entirety of the bills below.

SCOTUS really needs to take some gun cases as the restrictions on 2A rights is out of control and they need to spell it out but I thought the founding fathers had already done that. Not to mention, limiting the software will absolutely struck down due to precedent and will be labeled as a violation of the 1st amendment. These liberal states sure know how to waste of time and money by passing unconstitutional laws.

What is their definition of a "firearm?"

Making it illegal to sell or distribute printers without Drm that prevents the printer from printing firearm components.
I don't see how that passes 1A muster.

That's the part they took out of the Colorado bill. Our Liberal Governor, who would like nothing more than flushing the 2nd Amendment down the toilet, at least realized the file ban wouldn't pass 1st amendment muster had threatened to veto the bill if it was left in.

It still amazes me how much Libtards can stretch every other Amendment in the Constitution to read however they want, but the pkain English of "Shall not be infringed" completely confuses them.
